Build to Rent Redevelopment to Transform Chadwell Heath Site
Our bold new Build to Rent (BTR) development has secured unanimous planning approval, marking another exciting step in the evolution of this thriving neighbourhood!
96 BTR apartments will transform a prominent corner site on High Road, 20% of which will be affordable. The newly approved scheme also comprises circa 200m² commercial space, two communal roof terraces, children’s play areas, cycle and mobility scooter storage.
Andrew Bonner, our project director, has led the design team. Andrew comments: “This site is currently occupied by commercial properties that were closed in 2018 due to fire damage and remain vacant. With both Goodmayes and Chadwell Heath train stations within walking distance, both offering fast journeys to Central London via the Elizabeth line, it had incredible redevelopment potential, offering future residents a well-connected space to enjoy vibrant city living.
“Following several recent residential redevelopments, a fresh character is emerging on High Road. We wanted to celebrate this with a bold new landmark for the corner. A nine-storey building proudly anchors the junction, stepping down in height to create a varied street scene.
Materials include a mix of red and grey brick, while red pigmented concrete defines the base, creating distinction but still tying together with the look and feel of the neighbourhood.
"We’re thrilled that Redbridge Council has granted planning permission, making it possible for a new generation of families to move in and build a fresh, thriving community,” adds Andrew.
