Regeneration for Bermondsey Bank Into Boutique Hotel & Commercial Space
Our proposal for a bold, mixed-use hotel and retail scheme on a prominent site within Bermondsey has received planning consent from the London Borough of Southwark.
The newly approved application will regenerate a brownfield site into a boutique 23-bed hotel, co-working space and ground floor café.
The scheme knits together the fabric of Southwark Park Road, using textured brickwork to compliment the beautiful façade of the Blue Anchor Pub which sits on the opposite bookend of the block.
Andrew Bonner, Project Director, comments: “It’s excellent news that this application has been approved and this site can be brought back into productive use. Currently occupied by a disused former bank, it is in a poor condition and of no benefit to the community. This boutique hotel and commercial scheme will not only offer local employment opportunities but will also address the imbalance of visitor accommodation in the area. We look forward to seeing construction start very soon.”
