Unanimous Approval For 18 New Homes In Seven Kings
We’re excited to confirm that Redbridge Council has granted planning permission for a new development of 18 apartments in Ilford.
Our client, City View Developments Ltd, recognised the untapped potential of this brownfield site, located just 70 yards from Seven Kings Station, which operates the popular Elizabeth Line.
With a previous approval for nine apartments, we were commissioned to develop a bold proposal of 18 accessible and adaptable units, doubling the provision and supporting the increased demand for housing in the neighbourhood due to the Crossrail connection.
The now approved scheme comprises a five-storey building with a stepped massing and character that complements its surroundings. Key design considerations included the existing railway infrastructure, a culvert running beneath the site, and proximity to a Grade II listed church.
We were able to successfully navigate these constraints by working closely with the client, planning team, Environment Agency and other stakeholders. With unanimous committee approval, this ambitious redevelopment can now move forward, highlighting what’s possible with determination, a clear vision and collaboration.
