Charlotte Staton

Part two Architectural Assistant

Charlotte completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Sheffield, where she developed a passion for the social value of architecture and sustainable design. She is an advocate for the repair and reuse of existing buildings; her final design thesis proposing the radical retrofit of a disused 1960s shopping centre into a music and cultural hub.

Following her Masters degree, Charlotte was awarded the WYSA Travel Scholarship, which she used to fund an independent research project in Brazil on the work of pioneering architect, Lina Bo Bardi. She also secured a 3-month architectural work placement in Lisbon, Portugal, before joining Ackroyd Lowrie in 2023.

In her free time, she enjoys yoga, woodwork, and delving into a good book!
