Technical Director

Wayne is the Technical Director for the practice. He is a multi-award-winning Architect, having held senior leadership roles at several architectural studios in the UK. For over 20 years he has designed, led, and delivered, Office, Laboratory, Residential, & Infrastructure schemes, at a range of scales, in the UK, Europe, China and the Middle East. 

Wayne has an in-depth technical knowledge of building methods and systems, including regulations and standards compliance. His skillset includes a deeper knowledge of the Building Safety Act and its impacts on the industry, displaying a high level of competence and acting as the party to manage the function of Organizational Principal Designer (Building Regulations) for the practice. He is a RIBA recognized Principal Designer and joined their register in late 2024.

By extension Wayne is also a highly experienced design management leader and mentor. Skilled in starting up and leading complex projects, through to successful completion, he is well versed in the negotiation and administration of a variety of building contractual forms, has established and maintained internal quality compliance on projects including, ISO9001 & ISO14001 and leads on BIM implementation under ISO19650.

He has a passion for driving closer collaboration between Architects and Contractors whilst using cutting edge technology, new systems, new materials, as well as traditional craftmanship to achieve better building’s and environments. He has a special interest in the ways in which buildings interact with both their environment and their users in a lasting way. 

In his spare time Wayne is a keen distance runner and a junior athletics coach. He also enjoys science and technology, automotive design as well as Science Fiction writing and films.
